7th Greater Serengeti-Mara Stakeholders Forum
Hosted by Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA), the 7th Greater Serengeti-Mara Stakeholders Forum was held on March 29th–30th at Serena, Serengeti. The annual meeting brought together 50 key conservation managers, decision-makers, and private sector representatives, with equal representation from Kenya and Tanzania.
Discussions focused on five key thematic areas central to the conservation and sustainable management of the Greater Serengeti-Mara ecosystem:
- Tourism-Related Pressures
- Communities, Livelihoods, and Land Use
- Ecological Integrity
- River and Wetland Conservation
- Conservation Boundaries
The forum served as a vital platform for cross-border collaboration and dialogue, strengthening collective efforts to address the region’s most pressing challenges.
